Don't worry, I don't actually smoke and I don't actually wear a beret, I was however in Paris for the New Year.  Why is that something to note, because you never know where you will end up.  If someone told me last January that I would end up in summer school to finish my degree, two of my best friends would get married, I'd move to Washington D.C. for two months and then move to China where I would study Mandarin, teach English and begin to learn Kung-fu...  Simply put, I would not have believed a word.  I suppose that's why our Father requires us to trust in Him because if He simply revealed all of His plans for us on a power point presentation, we would sit staring in disbelief.  I would have been in even more disbelief to learn that I would travel from China to Europe for the third time to spend my holidays with my Uncle and participate in his wedding!  That would have been my greatest moment of skepticism because my Uncle has been a bachelor for quite some time, but lo, he is getting married in a week and I am here in Europe with him and his fiancee.
As a side note, I started out 2010 on a road trip in India so I don't know where my skepticism about anything even comes from.

I'm quite confident that 2011 needs it's very own homepage and a fresh star with new blogs because who knows where I'll be when the clock strikes twelve this time next year.  I'll do my best to trust.  If there's one great lesson I have learned, or rather, taken to heart this past year, it's about being transformed by the renewing of your mind.  What that really means is a calling to be better than average.  What that really means is that seeking comfort and mediocrity reveal weakness in us.  To be transformed instead of conformed is about going against the grain altogether and I'll be the first to admit, that is frightening and awesome all at once.

Join me for yet another year of change and growth.
